There are many differences in Nokia N8 and Nokia N9. Here, I am going to discuss only 10 major difference between them. It will help you very much to understand the features of Nokia N8 and Nokia N9. the heading of differences are

  • Screen
The Nokia N8 has a capacitive touch screen that measures 3.5 inches while the Nokia N9 has an additional 4 inches to 3.9.
  • Resolution
Screen resolution to the N8 is at 360 x 640 pixels, while the Nokia N9 has increased to 480 x 854
  • Size
The N9 is thinner than the N8. The dimensions of the two phones like this:

The N9 is the winning formula that made the Nokia N8 stand out as a camera phone. The changes are apparent, although the N9 is an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and dual LED flash on camera 12MP of N8 with Xenon flash. (The N8 wins here only in regard to flash)
  • CPU
While the N8 is running on a 680MHz ARM processor 11 of the N9 Nokia has more punching power running at 1 GHz Cortex A8 CPU - what you can expect a smoother experience.
  • Operating System

  • Slide
The N8 operates from three customizable home screens that give the possibility to use up to 18 players possible and arrange them as you see fit. The N9 features a 'hit' home system views. These are three views that help to keep things simple. They are divided between:
1) The view of the application - this is where you access all your applications
2) The terms multi-tasking - The N9 can run up to 100 applications at the same time so you need not be concerned about multiple tasks without any delay!
3) The events to see social media channels, notifications, calls, texts and calendar events
All you need do is slide to switch between each of them!
  • NFC (Near Field Communication)
The Nokia N9 comes pre-loaded with the NFC , if you have not already seen, it works like magic with the new Nokia 360 Play, with just a touch to sync.
  • Buttons
The N8 has a button on the bottom left corner, which functions as a 'Start' button. The N9 has no buttons! It is the first full touch screen phone.
