Hack Nokia 5800 v.40.0.5

Attention: Perform the following tutorial at your own risk, I'm not responsible for damage or loss of the device. The procedure was personally tested more than once before publication.

Files used in this tutorial (Download):

  1. 40.0.5 Firmware RM-356. (Download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QPE5BH2S)
  2. V.1.98.62 JAF. (Download link: http://www.multiupload.com/GUTPI65487)
  3. Patches. (Download link: http://linkmini.net/download/Patches-5800.zip)

Important:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of Nokia PC Suite and / or Ovi Suite.
  2. Disable the antivirus and firewall the machine during the procedure.
  3. It is advisable to use a secondary machine that has power (notebook, UPS, etc.).
  4. I recommend formatting the phone and memory card beforehand.

Tutorial:

  • Install the program and save the file JAFSetup_1.98.62 JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v 5 on the desktop.


  • Unzip the file RM-356: C: \ Program Files \ Nokia \ Phoenix \ Products.
  • Disconnect the Nokia 5800 and connect it to the cable.


  • Run the JAF_PKEY_Emulator_v 5, keep the settings as the photo above and press GO.


  • In the application JAF, BB5 click, uncheck the 3008 CRT and check the options in sequence: DeadUSB, Manual Flash and USE INI.


  • A box will appear with the RM's and the format, select the RM-356 for the Nokia 5800, click OK, then FLASH and confirm the alert message.


  • When presenting information "PRESS POWER ON NOW! Searching for phone ... "in JAF, hold the power button on the unit for 3 seconds.
  • Wait for the end of the update. When the machine restarts, copy the patches to the memory card, open the program ROMPatcher + and activate the plug-ins Install Server Apen4All PR + and PR + (do not forget to mark them to activate automatically).
