App of the week-Nokia Interactive Rich Reading-A new way to learn-Symbian^3

The staff of the Nokia Research Center worked in collaboration with Sesame Workshop (creators of the show Sesame Street ) to create an interactive reading experience through mobile phones, the

Nokia Interactive Rich Reading.

The first book is called "100 Day School." It is a children's story in which Elmo (mascot of the former hit series) talk with the children while they exercise reading. The idea is that the character Elmo will help children to engage them in the book, asking questions about each page and encouraging small to talk about what they are reading.
According to NRC researchers, children who speak more about the book during the reading experience, can improve their vocabulary. They also say that the dynamic works best when parents read with their children, to encourage the habit.
This first book is available in English only. And as technology takes advantage of all this app can be a great opportunity for children who are learning another language, besides enriching the reading experience, parents and children can interact more.
Read with your kids and tell me, what you think! The more people like it, more books will be published.
